Discouragement? You Don't Do Discouragement

Discouragement? You Don't Do Discouragement

“Disappointments will come and go but discouragement is a choice you make”. Charles Stanley

Nothing goes as smoothly as we would like. Stuff happens. People will disappoint. Plans might fall through. It may rain on the day you have an outside fund raiser planned (there should always be a Plan B, but more about that in a future blog), people who committed to helping get sick, a member of the board of directors might move away. Things happen.

Being prepared for any eventuality is not easy but it has to be done. It is the best way to protect yourself from discouragement.

You started the nonprofit because of a passion. You knew you were going to perform an important service for your community. That still exists. You cannot afford discouragement.

You may need to take a break. Do it. Just don't allow discouragement keep you from doing great things!
