"You can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first." Norm Kelly
We have all heard the phrase "self care". It's almost annoying. It's easy to dismiss the phrase.
Most of us wonder, "how the hell am i supposed to take care of myself? I AM TOO BUSY!
It's easy to assume that we have to hire someone else to give us a facial, to join a gym, get soeone to give us a massage. Lately, though, there are very inexpensive options that you can do yourself AND not spend a lot of time.
1. Go to You Tube and you will find, for Free, all types of exercise videos. There is something for everyone. It's worth 30 minutes of your time, three times a week.
2. Many retailers like Walmart, Target, Ross Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, all have facial masks for $1.00. Even Ulta, a makeup and lotion retailer, sell facial masks for very little money!
3. Walk. I recently found, for just $75, a gently used treadmill. When the weather is good, walking outside can make you feel rejuvenated. Set the timer on your phone for 15 minutes. When the timer goes off, turn around a go back home. You'll be shocked by how you feel, how you were able to clear your mind. It's also a great way to come up with new ideas for your passion, the nonprofit.
Take Care of yourself. No one else will. You wil be glad you do.
