How are you Managing Social Media?

How are you Managing Social Media?

"Good marketing makes the company look smart. Great marketing makes the customer feel smart". Joe Chernov

Social media is an important piece of your marketing plan. How are you marketing your organization? Are there volunteers or members of your board who can help you with that?

That's the key to marketing, particularly social media. Delegating to someone else who has a little time can be the key to getting it done consistently and being successful. Allow others to help you.

With social media, Facebook, Instagram, X, the key is to be consistent. At least once a week, ideal is three time a week, spend 30-60 minutes on social media. Begin by searching the organizations and individuals who represent nonprofits. Have your own page on each social media platform. Read other pages and reply. Create connections, support and encourage others. You may have opportunities to create in-person connections. The mutual support can be invaluable.

How to delgate this to someone else? We all know at least one person who is really good on social media. We all know that one person who has a little time each week to help your organization by creating a social media presence for your group.

Social media can be an amazing way to market your business. Don't feel like you have to do it all yourself. Find that volunteer who believes in your organization's mission and let them take over social media. Listen to their ideas. Let them help you. It will pay long term benefits.
