Sometimes it’s too much. Sometimes you are tired. Sometimes you feel overwhelmed. Sometimes you wonder if you are accomplishing anything. What to do? Take some time off.
Many of the people trying to change the world, trying to solve problems, get tired. It’s called being human. You need to take some time off. Nothing can be accomplished when you are tired. A brief refresh can be miraculous. Sometimes just setting a timer for 60 minutes, using that time to get outside for a walk, call a friend or just sit still, take a nap. A break is restorative.
You will notice a change. You will notice that you are more relaxed, your brain is more clear, your body more refreshed. That does not mean all the new ideas you need will come to you quickly although that might happen.
Exhaustion is not how anyone succeeds. Be good to yourself. That’s a great way to be good to others.
