When we began the discussion about our future, working in a nonprofit was immediately brought up. We both wanted to serve. Mike, an attorney, had been working with nonprofits for many years. My experience was more limited but having helped others start nonprofits and serving for three years on a nonprofit Board of Directors, I knew a nonprofit of our own was important.
